Volunteering for Sustanable Development Goals in Asia

y4gg

Who are we?
AIESEC in Estonia, a branch of the world’s largest youth-run leadership organization founded in 1948, develops leaders through our cross-cultural volunteer and professional internships.

What do we do?
We run a competitive international internship program split into volunteer and professional internships in over 126 countries and territories in our network. Partnered with the United Nations, our projects are centered around the Sustainable Development Goals, 17 ambitious goals that aim to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and fix climate change. Our volunteer projects are generally between 6-8 weeks and fairly flexible with dates, perfect for students wishing to use them for credits for post-secondary institutions (contact us for more information about this).

Our professional internships are between 3-18 months long and can allow you to develop skills to build a career in Information Technology, Marketing, Business Administration, and Teaching and allow you to work at some of our global partners, such as DP DHL, International SOS, Nike, and Education First.

What is provided?
– Subsidized accommodation and meals in the host country (varies by internship)
– Cultural preparation seminars in Estonia and abroad
– Support in visa application process (if visa applies) and health insurance
– Support from both local AIESEC Committees in Estonia and abroad

When are our internships?
Our exchanges occur primarily in the Summer months, but we run our internship program year-round and are currently promoting our Black Friday campaign whereby anyone that applies for our projects or internships from now until this Friday, November 25th, and is approved for these internships this Winter, will receive a 50% discount off our exchange fee.

Where can I do my internship?
Although, you have the choice to go on exchange through AIESEC in any one of our 126 countries and territories in our network, we have a small number of focus exchange partners. China, Thailand, and Taiwan are among our Asian exchange partners, and we have a number of others stretching out as far as South America and Africa and within Europe.

How can I sign up?
We are encouraging anyone either considering our projects or wanting to learn more about them to connect with us at our website here and make a FREE profile on our internship database here. As outlined before, although we have a Black Friday discount available to anyone wishing to go abroad this Winter, please let us know if you are interested in our exchanges even if this Winter is not a suitable time for you go abroad through AIESEC.
